What you need to know now
Graduate visa shortening. If you apply for the Graduate visa before 1 January 2027 you get 2 years. Applications made on or after that date get 18 months for bachelor's and master's graduates. PhD graduates still get 3 years.
Most students starting a degree in 2026 will graduate after the change, so plan your job search from your first year.
Information checked October 2026. Visa rules change often, so always confirm the latest position on the official government website before you apply.
